There is a known issue with using Novell Groupwise WebAccess with Safari. There is a toolbar that is supposed to appear on the left hand side of the screen that fails to appear when using Safari. I've found that if you click and hold on the brown strip on the left portion of the screen and then drag down, the toolbar will appear from the bottom of the screen.

Use Safari with Novell Groupwise WebAccess
I had the same problem with Groupwise Web Access until one of the other admins applied some updates on the server. It works as it should now, with the exception of a slight spacing issue at the login screen. We are using version 6.5, but i'm not sure of the specific version after the patch. So you might want to notify your network admin.

It IS a problem with the server.
Use Safari with Novell Groupwise WebAccess
How exactly does one set Mail to check Groupwise Webaccess email? I tried entering the URL I use in Safari as the incoming and outgoing IMAP server addresses, but that doesn't seem to work. Do I need to get some information from the IT folks?
Use Safari with Novell Groupwise WebAccess
Yes, you definitely have to contact your IT people to get the server addresses. But, once you've set it up, it's really slick. The only time I use WebAccess is when I'm away from my Mac(s).

I have found that it also works if you enable the Safari debug menu and then select Debug->User Agent->Windows MSIE 6.0 prior to entering the site or by reloading the page with this set.

Worked perfectly!!! Thanks.
Use Safari with Novell Groupwise WebAccess
I have been using Safari with GroupWise web access since Safari .9 and it has always worked correctly in the HTML version. With the 1.2 / Java updates recently, now the "Java Enhanced" interface also works.
I have experienced none of the problems that youve all listed. 1.2 is MUCH faster now with the SSL stuff, so it is less painfull. I am just suprised that there are actually other people still using GroupStupid.... I thought we were the last...
Set Mail to check Groupwise Webaccess email would be GREAT!
I am a lone Mac in a sea of Windows and have suffered using Groupwise WebAccess to get email at work. If there is any info you could pass on to help me set up Mail to get work email I would love to be able to quit using the buggy Groupwise WebAccess! My problem is the IT Dept. here is pretty hostile toward Macs (they wish I would go away). So if I was armed with as much info as possible maybe I could convince them to help me. They know nothing about Macs. Any suggestions as to how or where to educate myself would be a great hint!

I too am a mac user in a pc environment. The good news from Novell is that they soon will have a groupwise client for OS X. It is currently in beta.
