Quickly access time fields in iCal's Month view Apps
Not sure if this works in previous versions, but one of my biggest complaints with iCal in Month View was the hoops you had to jump through to set the time given that it was easy to enter a new item (Control-click on date) and set the calender that item belongs to (Control-click the item and set its calender from the pop-up).

When entering an event while the cursor was still blinking in Month View, I accidently discovered hitting that hitting Tab will open the Info window (even if it is detached) and hilight the location field. It would be nice if it hilighted the time field first, but at least hitting tab saves some steps. This will not work if the item is just hilighted in the calendar; it has to be in 'cursor' entry mode -- you can double click on item to get back into this mode.

Now why they simply don't have numbers you can quickly spin to set the time below the to-do window is beyond me.

If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse try spinning that in a number field, it works well for me: ICal 1.5.2

why control click when u can just double click?

and select the calender on the left before double clicking to assign the event to that calender.

then just click on the time field in the info pane (which i think it essential in month view)! i mean really, if you are willing to touch the keyboard to control click or tab, how hard is it to click the time and press "3" or whatever.

if you are right clicking on a two-button mouse, double click is still easier than popup menus!

I submitted the hint.

On a smaller monitor, say an ibook, the drawer is a horrible GUI. It extends itself in random directions and takes up too much screen room.

So if I quickly want to enter a new item into ical I could
- First click on a calendar
- double click on the date and enter the info
- go to the drawer and now click on its time.

This is not efficient. This kind of is :
- double click on a date and enter the info
- hit tab and set the time
- set the calendar
No need to jump around in different parts of the GUI.
