I decided to try all different sorts of keys and mouse movements with command-tab in Panther and I don't think that all of these shortcuts have been compiled here in one hint.
While holding the command key after hitting command-tab:
- Shift forward through apps by pressing tab, or the right arrow.
- Shift backwards through apps by pressing shift-tab, the left arrow, or the tilde (right above the tab key).
- Directly target any app using the mouse.
- The Home key targets the left-most (current) app.
- The End key targets the right-most app.
- Go to a targeted app by releasing the command key, clicking the mouse button, hitting the space bar, or hitting return.
- Cancel app switching by pressing esc or the period
- Press H to hide the targeted app.
- Press Q to quit the targeted app.
[robg adds: Many of the above have been covered in various hints before, but there are a couple of new ones in this list, and I thought it made sense to have them all documented in one easy-to-find hint...]
