Zoom in and out in Preview in smaller increments Apps
If you hold down the Option key while zooming in/out in Preview (using the toolbar buttons), then it zooms in/out in smaller increments than it does using the buttons alone -- nifty!

Wow, I've been wanting something like this (for when I want to zoom in PDFs but not by as much as the default). Thanks!

Okay, it's this kind of crap that drives me nuts about apple
& it's software. Is this documented *anywhere*?

Not saying other people's documentation are much better or anything, but it seems there are hundreds of little keyboard shortcuts like this that never get mentioned in Online Help or anything. Being a recent switcher to Mac OS X, I don't have the 20 years of Mac heritage to instinctively know "oh, you hold down apple and then click and you can select multiple things" and the like.. it seems like you just have to mess around and see what option clicking can do for you.

Is there some master list of common option-click actions or some such? Surely the Apple UI guidelines has this info, not that I want to pore through that monster.
