I second this. When you change what you report to websites, then they don't know that people with other browsers use their sites.!!! We need people to know that there are other browsers than IE!. You can change your user agent in Safari as well as in Opera and some other browsers.... I just don't agree with ever doing it.

but the beauty of a customisable user agent string is that you can configure it enough to get your browser authorised and then append any message you like to the string to let the webmasters know what you think of their site ;-)
