10.3: Use Exposé to line up open application windows

If you use the Applications Windows setting in Exposé (F10 by default), and all your windows are the same height and in the same vertical position, Exposé will shrink all the windows into a straight horizontal line across the screen. If the windows vary, of course, it places them in the familiar 'all over the place' configuration.

To see an example of this, open Word and press Command-N a few times, then hit F10. Exposé will send your windows flying ... but now (after hitting F10 again) click on each window's green "+" button, so they all move to the same vertical position, and try F10 again. You should see a nice neat line across your screen. I'm not sure this is a hint, but I've found it useful with graphics applications to line up a collection of open images.
