After an archive install of Panther, it appeared as though Acrobat 6 was really broken. After a bit of research, I found this script from Adobe that seems to fix it for me. This is a shell script for re-installing the PDF Writer printer into CUPS. I take no credit for this hint, just posting what I found. This also repaired the Office.X buttons for PDF creation directly from a document.

you appear to have not installed perl...you chose some option during the install which disabled it, i dont have any idea how.

This script worked like a charm. They have also posted a manual fix in their Knowledgebase, but it did nothing for me.

The link to Adobe was great, except that you neglected to mention you have to log in as either a registered member there, or as a guest. Once you log in, you have to locate the script you mentioned, it doesn't come up when you log in as Guest, which I did. f.y.i. |
