In Font Book, double-clicking on a font will pop open a window containing samples of the font covering uppercase and lowercase letters, and the numbers 0 through 9. This is very handy if you ever need to compare fonts. Unfortunately:
- The only way to do this is by double-clicking. There should be an easier way, such as pressing return or command arrow-down.
- You can't open more than 1 font family at once. Has to be done one by one.
- The window layering is so screwed. It opens them in stacking-mode and when it gets to the bottom of your screen, you'll get only the title bar (and it keeps going to the bottom). So you'll have to either relaunch the application, or drag the opened windows up again by hand.
