Here is one suggested way of hiding new voice memos that are auto-synced into iTunes if you are using the new Belkin voice recorder.
Previously, I was sharing my entire library, but now with voice memos being recorded, I wanted to make them not shared by default, but keep all the rest of my music shared. Using the fact that the voice recorder records all memos in WAV format and all my music is either AAC or MP3, I switched from sharing the entire library to just by playlists. For all smart playlists, add a new filter to their current lists: Kind -> does not contain -> WAV.
And if you want to create a new smart playlist that shows all music like the entire library mode, create a smart playlist "All Music" with these two filters:
Date Added -> is in the range -> 01/01/02 to 01/01/09
Kind -> does not contain -> WAV
This way, when you auto-sync your iPod, none of your voice memos are shared unless you add them manually to a public Voice Memos playlist if you want to create one.
