10.3: Show all groups associated with a given contact Apps
Here's a helpful feature I recently stumbled across for the 10.3 version of Address Book. It might also apply to older versions, but I cannot verify whether it is or is not since I installed Panther.

With a contact is selected whom you have placed in one or more groups, press the Option key and all the groups that that contact is in will be highlighted, as seen in the screenshot.

Also a nice thing (even in jaguar) for when syncing the addressbook to you mobile or whatever, is that you can create a group (e.g. myPhone), en drag other groups in this group...

now you only have to sync the 'myPhone' group with your mobile and all contacts from the groups inside the myPhone group gets synced.
(I don't want all contacts in my phone, it this was the easiest way to do so, I also never have to worry about some contacts not synced because I forgot to sync a specific group)...

Maybe this should be under iTunes. But I just checked for this functionality in iTunes and by holding down the control key and clicking on a song name one of the options available is Playlists listing every playlist that the selected song appears in!

'tired' of HOLDING the option/alt key?
- hold option and click on another app window/desktop (the old switch and hide)
- when yo go back to address book the show all associated groupsness is sticky!
arrow up n down etc and the highlited groups adjust.

ymmv (discovered these by very accident and may only work on my pyooter; g4 tiger.9)
