10.3: Close minimized Finder windows from the Dock Desktop
This is a simple one: Minimize a Finder window into the dock, control- (or right-) click on the minimized window, and select "Close." Unfortunately, this only works for Finder windows ... but maybe Apple will implement it in their other applications, too.

It should work in any _carbon_ app.

Hmm. Maybe it should work, but it doesn't. Flash MX, Illustrator 10, (Canon) Image Browser, Carbon apps all, don't have any useful commands in a minimized window's dock menu.
