10.3: Access the 'Go to folder' box in Open/Save dialogs
Oct 27, '03 02:24:00AM • Contributed by: triplef
You may have noticed that the standard "Open..." dialog in Panther is missing the "Go To" field. However, you can use the Shift-Command-G shortcut to display a window where you can enter a path to any directory, e.g. to display hidden Unix directories like /usr, just as you could with the box that's present in Jag.

If you merely start typing a full path in an Open or Save dialog, starting with "/", the system knows that you're specifying a path reference, and brings up the "Go To Folder" dialog immediately - no need for typing "Cmd-Shift-G" first.
