I may want to then listen to the entire album but that would require having to click on All Albums and then scrolling to the compilation or using the Search feature. I'm lazy though and I'd rather a one (or two) click solution.
First, click on the compilation name in the Album pane. The Album should highlight blue. Next Opton-click the All (xxx Artists) line in the Artists pane. All of the songs will appear in the Song list pane just as if you had clicked the compilation name in the Album pane.
One might argue that it is awkward to have to scroll to the top of the Artists pane but I believe it is easier than having to click on All (xxx) Albums and then remember the name of the compilation and scroll through trying to find the compilation. Search sometimes returns more than just the single album you are looking for.
I have tried to find a way of Applescripting this but have had no luck. I don't want to have to make playlists to achieve the same effect. I'm open to suggestions. I also emailed Apple that they ought to create a contextual menu item that does this automatically. I'll cross my fingers.
