Like many (looking at the iSync message board on Apple's site) I have been having problems using iSync with my Palm (the model doesn't seem to matter, but I have a Tungsten fwiw). It seems to be a problem that has arisen since 10.2.6 or iSync 1.1 - not everyone is experiencing it, but it is widespread.
The consensus of opinion was that there was a problem with the way iSync connects to the Palm.
However I discovered, using the iSync log, that the Palm was, in fact, being synchronised, but that iCal wasn't! We were looking at the wrong place ... I confirmed this by resetting all devices using my .Mac account as the device to base all updates on. iCal now displayed everything that had been entered on the Palm ... but nowhere were any of the events I had entered straight into iCal. Apple's solution, posted on their site, is to export all your calendars, delete them from iCal, and reimport them - quite a chore if you've got a few, and unworkable if you synchronise a lot.
My alternative answer is actually quite simple - install Apple's iSync Uninstall Utility and use it to erase iSync 1.0 or 1.1 from your system (it doesn't matter that the uninstaller was designed for the beta). Make sure you backup your data first. Then reinstall iSync 1.1 afresh.
Syncing should now work with your Palm. I am on my twelfth sync since doing this and iCal, my T68 and my Palm all work with each other quite happily.
