iSync 1.1 and system date and time settings Apps
I upgraded to iSync 1.1 on my desktop and laptop. Everything worked fine on my desktop, but I repeatedly got the error message
11:45:38AM Error Unable to get data from the server:
A network error interrupted the connection to .Mac.
on my laptop. Puzzlement ensued. I finally tracked down the problem. Since I usually use my laptop in dial-up mode, I had "Use a network time server" turned OFF. Somehow (dead battery?), my laptop thought it was living in 1970. Fixing that fixed the problem, and now I can sync bookmarks across my machines. (Is it just me, or does Apple need to put a little more work into error messages?)

i agree. i attempted to burn my first cd, yesterday, and kept getting an "unknown error" from i tunes. i eventually guessed that it had to do with the name i had for my first track, "(hidden)" after i removed the parenthesis everything worked fine.
