Relaunch Wacom driver to awaken missing tablet System
My Wacom tablet, for some weird reason, sometimes just stop working. Usually I logOut/logIn but it's a drag. I just discovered that launching /Library -> StartupItems -> Tablet -> TabletDriver.app brings it to life again.

[robg adds: I have the same problem, usually after switching to another machine via my USB kebyoard/monitor switchbox. This solution definitely works for me.]

Relaunch Wacom driver to awaken missing tablet

I assume that this is neccessary as-opposed/in-addition to just unplugging and replugging the USB cable?

My Wacom used to go dead all the time in 10.1.x, and in early builds of 10.2.x, but a simple unplug/replug always brings it back.

For this reason, I usually have it plugged into the side of my Apple Pro keyboard -- which I would not use at all, as I still use an Apple Adjustable (ergo) ADB model, except that it acts as a very reliable hub; I suppose, however, that if you plug your Wacom into an inconvenient location, such as the back of the computer or a difficult to manage hub, this would be a nifty trick.

This would be a good thing to AppleScript; keep an icon in the Dock; keep an icon in an alternative dock; keep an icon in Drop Drawers; etc.
