Run multiple Expanders to multi-task archive expansion

As someone may have said earlier, it is possible to have multiple instances of one application running parallell. Example: Remote Desktop Connection from Microsoft; if you copy the application, you can run several termserv sessions at the same time (as described in this hint).

Another example: Stuffit Expander. You ever get tired of waiting for that huge stuffed .dmg file to expand, and wish you could expand something else at the same time? Just copy Stuffit Expander, give it a smart name (StuffitExpander 2), and put it in the dock. Then all you have to do is drop the archives you want on it, and watch them expand at the same time as other archives.

I could imagine that there are a huge number of other applications that this could be usful for.

[robg adds: I've used the Stuffit trick for quite a while, but I don't think that trick has been documented here before. Between this hint and the original Microsoft Remote Desktop hint, I consider the subject of multiple applications sufficiently covered -- if you have other apps that benefit from running multiple instances, please post them in the comments to either existing hint.]
