Take advantage of the Finder's auto-update clipboard

If you find yourself working with files in a "source" directory in the Finder and copying the latest version of a file to another directory, you may find it helpful to know that in OS X the clipboard automatically updates when you edit a file that you have previously copied (because it doesn't really copy anything, it just remembers a file path).

So all you need to do is copy the file once initially (Command-C) and after that, paste (Command-V) to your destination directory as many times as needed while editing -- no more switching back and forth between directories.
