Use LaTeX Equation Editor for mathematics in Keynote
Apr 18, '03 09:07:00AM • Contributed by: Anonymous
Perhaps the most common method of inserting mathematics into Keynote has been to use Equation Service. Another just-released tool, though, is the freewareLaTeX Equation Editor [52mb download], a self-contained application which provides a nice GUI frontend to TeX and LaTeX. It produces properly sized PDF files (unlike pdflatex) with transparency and supports drag-and-drop into Keynote and other applications!

EquationService is available
from the MacOSX TeX/LaTeX web site -- look under "Tools/

(That is, it installs an out-of-date version of teTeX. Those with even half-way serious math typesetting needs should visit http://www.rna.nl/tex.html for more information.)
