Navigate iTunes' artists list via the keyboard Apps
Since my iTunes' artist list has grown to about some hundred artists, it was very annoying to find specific artists without using the search field in the browser view.

The solution is easy: click an entry in the Artists list, or the column's title (Artist or Album), then just press the first character(s) of the desired artist's name. This works with albums and genres too. I should have found this one much earlier...

this REALLY wasn't on here yet?!? I"m surprised, I wasnt even aware it was hidden, heh. It just seems logical to do this, and for anyone that has not been doing this, they should be quite happy to hear about it.

Doesn't work for me: I feel stupid for never having tried this hint, however, everytime I type characters it searches in the Song Title column. I have my list sorted by Artist. Even if I switch sorting to Album or Genre and even clicking and highlighting artist's names doesn't work. It always brings me up in the song list. Any ideas?

Quick playlists

When it's simple, I don't like to waste time making new playlists, as I think it's faster to use the search box or the browser as such: you can highlight more than one artist to make a combination by command-click. So, if you want a quick playlist that includes Lisa Stansfield and Stevie Nicks, you can click Lisa Stansfield in the browser artist list, then command-click Stevie Nicks. You can also choose an artist, then limit the list to certain albums by command-clicking the individual albums in the list.
