Create multiple movies from a single iMovie project

One thing that bothered me with the upgrade of iMovie is that the advantage you get from exporting iMovies to iDVD was that you could capture a lot of video, and make multiple videos. It's not so straightforward in iMovie 3. However, there's a simple, yet obvious, trick to do just that.
One of the advantages of QuickTime is that the actual data for a movie can be stored in many places; the main QuickTime file simply refers to those files in such cases. iMovie 3.0 uses this type of file.
In the iMovie project folder, you'll see the usual project file, media folder, and if you saved your project, a QuickTime movie that's probably on the order of 100k. Once you're done editing your first movie, save it and then make a copy of this QuickTime movie and rename it. It will contain all references needed to recreate your movie. Although I haven't tried, you might be able to recreate your movie in iMovie by copying it back to the original file name.
When you're ready, simply drop this small file into iDVD.
CAUTION: Although I haven't checked this, emptying your project trash is likely to DESTROY your movie if you deleted any of the movie elements, such as titles. You also may generate some name confusion when working with iDVD and you've already exported a movie with the name.
[Editor's note: I haven't had any time to even play with the new iMovie and iDVD yet, so I haven't tested this one out...]
