One of the most touted features of iPhoto2 is the new Enhance feature, which basically adjusts brightness, contrast, and saturation. The intuitive way to use this feature is to simply click on the Enhance button when looking at a photo.
But let's say you're working with dark images or not so vivid images and you want to really brighten things up. Here's what you do:
- Adjust the Brightness control when viewing the picture to a setting that looks bright enough to you. Don't worry about the dark areas; just focus on the light areas.
- Click the Enhance button.
iPhoto2 will leave the brightness setting alone and will just focus on the darks, i.e., contrast, and saturation. This has the capacity to really brighten up a lot of pictures and make things much more vivid than they were before.
Score another creative "Hoorah!" for Apple.
