Open Mail -> Preferences -> Signatures and select Add Signature, then open Address Book and drag your vCard to the open signature window. Add whatever other text you want and hit OK to save it. This is a great feature that I wish I'd noticed before.

I don't know if this has been submitted before, but I just noticed that you can attach your vCard from Address Book to your signature in Mail.

Can also attach .jpg files
I use this feature to attach a .jpg file to my signature. Just drag a .jpg file into the signature.
what about animated .gif?
i tried using a animated .gif that way but it doesn't seem to stay animated once you send... Anyone successful at trying that? thx!
Vcards, jpegs: Please don't :-)
Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should.
Vcards, jpegs, html and all that kind of junk have no place in email. Yes, I am a grumpy old fart. If you are communicating with people who you know have a high speed connection, a graphical email reader and plenty of disk space, fine, attach that junk. Otherwise, send plain text, and no attachments. Apropos of this, one stupidity I get all to often is an email that is nothing but a Word attachment, and the Word document contains nothing but "I need help with such and such". I won't even LOOK at the attachments anymore - that's automatically going to the trash. Text is efficient. I can forward important messages to my cell phone and read text fairly easily. Html, vcards, and other junk just make it that much harder.

um, I doubt they were going to e-mail you

agreed. stick to plain old text. Get rid of the HTML/jpegs/vCards and other crap. I don't want to see your cute little jpegs anyway (and I can't, largely because I use Mutt as my mail client). |
