Print Finder windows with Print Center Desktop
Just picked this up from Gene Steinberg's MacNightOwl site. Apparently Print Center can now print a list of a folder's contents under Jaguar 10.2.3. Just drag the folder on top of Print Center and it'll bring up a Printer dialog box. Prints a three column list of Name / File Size / Modification Date info, alphabetized by name.

Oh, and you can apparently use the same trick for Desktop Printing of documents, but I was never all that impressed by Desktop Printing anyways.

[Editor's note: This works as described! While it's a handy trick, if I have to drag a Finder window to be printed, I'll proably continue to drag things to SearchWare Solutions' PrintWindow (donationware), which offers additional options such as subfolder expansion and inclusion of icons.]

try printing your hard drive that way and see what you get. It apparently prints EVERYTHING, including ALL invisible items, like .DS_Store, .hidden, .Trashes, .vol, automount, bin, cores, Desktop, dev, etc, private... and on and on. That pretty much sucks, so I guess I agree - I'll keep using PrintWindow until Apple fixes that! It's too bad, since that is another long missing feature that I've been waiting for.

Thanks for the Print Window tip (v2.11)!
I was trying to find a solution for a designer that inculdes folder windows for her service bureau when she sends a CD.
I can't believe what a FU Apple did with this!
I mean, I tried Gene's tip and the HP laser just spat out page after page of one line text (10.2.6) of the files.
