Install the Apple Ink font for general use System
Sifting around the InkServer.app (located in System -> Library -> Components -> Ink.component -> Contents -> SharedSupport -> InkServer.app), I found a font called Apple Casual. Dragging this font into ~/Library -> Fonts allows it to be used in any program! To find the font, once you've navigated to the InkServer.app, control-click on it and select "Show Package Contents." Navigate to Contents -> Resources, and you'll see AppleCasual.dfont.

Also, by opening this application (InkServer.app), you can activate the Ink System Preferences Panel and the Ink Panel Window without having a graphics tablet attatched.

In a similar vein, copying the dfont file below to a standard font location will give you several flavors of the AppleGaramond font.

/System/Library/CoreServices/Setup Assistant.app/Contents/Resources/Setup Assistant.dfont

Newton Lives!

I know, we've all heard where the Ink technology came from, but it's so strange to see the Control Panel with all the settings from old Newt, and then, Apple has the same font in there too!
Oh, Steve. Why did you do it?

What about Myriad
Authored by: Anonymous on Dec 13, '02 01:18:55PM

Cool. So I've learned how to get Apple Casual and Apple Garamond, but what about the new Apple corporate font; I think it's supposed to be Myriad. I looked for it, but I can't find it anywhere. It appears in a few places, like the default screen saver, but there was no font in the package.

Anybody know where it's located on the hard drive?
