Place images in Mail.app signatures Apps
This has to be out there somewere but I'll post anyhow. To put a graphic in your mail signature all you do is drag and drop in the signature that you are creating. Great for logos, etc.

[Editor's note: Hmm, don't think this has been posted here before, and I didn't know it was possible!]

Works in Entourage too!

But only if you're sending to other Macs, I think. PCs seem to receive graphic ('pasted graphic') and text as separate attachments, which kind of defeats the object of the exercise. This is in Mail - haven't tried with Entourage.

and then your computer ends up with many copies of the same image
Authored by: nvdingo on Dec 09, '02 02:31:48PM

whenever you receive an email from a friend, that has an image in the sig, you have another copy of it.

neither mail or entourage will know it is a dupe, they are stored as part of the message (unless you setup a filter) and even then they are dupes.

It's a nice idea, but if i started receiving email from my regular correspondants that had an image in the sig, i would be more than a little upset

Seek and you shall find! That's the answer right there, just select the file in finder, Edit -> Copy, and in the Mail 2.0 signature just control-click and Paste.

Place images in Mail.app signatures

OK same problem here.
I discovered that signatures are kept in ~/Library/Mail/Signatures in the webarchive format.

When you open this file in BBEdit the image appears in html as, for example,

<IMG src="applewebdata://B70BDA65-A287-48EA-941D-7F1EA6ABE128/image.tiff">

I don't know where the location of applewebdata is?

Is this helping???

Looks like this feature was somehow broken in 10.4.1 - I've heard it works in 10.4.0 and 10.4.2...guess we'll just have to wait until that's released!
