Installing OmniPage Pro X on 10.2.2 Apps
When trying to install Omnipage Pro X for the first time with Jaguar 10.2.2 installed, from your user account, you'll notice the installation cannot be completed due to privilige problems. Here's how to solve this problem:
  1. If you haven't enabled the root user, do so (there are hints here on how to do this if you need help). If you have, go to step 2.
  2. Log out and back in as root.
  3. Perform the installation of Omnipage Pro X.
That's it. The application will be fully installed. If you want to use it from your account, just log in as your account user.

[Editor's note: I can't verify this as I don't have the software package, but I thought it might save some frustration for those who might be trying to install it.]

Thanks! I tried installing it with root privs from pseudo, but that did not work. I'll try the full root login now.

ScanSoft suggests you install the software from the Classic envirionment. Tried it myself and encountered no problems.
