A shortcut to QuickTime's sound control settings Apps
When you play a movie (with sound) or audio in QuickTime, notice that there's a graphic equalizer displayed at the right end of the timeline progress bar. Click it. The play bar should change and display options for balance, bass, and treble. Click the equalizer once again to go back to the play bar. I don't know if this function works with all Quicktime versions; I tested with version 6.0.2.

[Editor's note: I have always used the Movie -> Show Sound Controls menu item to access these settings; I had no idea you could click on the equalizer to get there ... much easier!]

I've gotta start noting these things down! I noticed this one last week, but thought it was too obvious to mention! D'oh!

If I remember correctly (which, of course, I do ;) this has been around for a while. I believe I used on OS 9 with QT5.
