Create dual scrolling mirrored iChat windows

In iChat, it's possible to have two synchronised IM windows to the same person. When either you or they talk, the speech bubbles appear in both windows. It's like double vision. Here's how it's done; you're either person A or person B:

  1. A and B both close any IM windows they may have to each other.
  2. A double-clicks on B's name in the Buddy List window, opening a new IM window. A does not type anything in this window.
  3. B double-clicks on A's name in the Buddy List window, opening a new IM window.
  4. B sends a message to A. It pops up as a "ghost" on A's screen.
  5. A ignores the "ghost" window and sends a new message to B in the original IM window.
And then you just chat with each other. If you chat using the window under the "ghost," then the "ghost" goes away, and you are left with two synchronised windows. This is quite possibly a bug which will be fixed soon, so enjoy it whilst you can!

[Editor's note: Before you all start complaining, I realize this is probably a completely useless hint -- I can't think of a single situation where you'd need or want dual synchronized windows with the same person! But I thought it was at least entertaining to see in action once, and who doesn't need a little laugh at 5:20am on a Monday morning?! And perhaps by posting it, Apple will be inspired to fix the problem.]
