OpenOffice public beta available Apps
The team at OpenOffice.org have now released a Public Beta version of OpenOffice for OSX. You can find it on their downloads page. You must have XDarwin on your Mac to run it. It runs pretty smoothly on my TI-500 in 10.2.2. Throw away OfficeX and give it a try ;-).

[Editor's note: I don't normally publish release announcements, but the OpenOffice porting efforts have been widely covered, and I thought this might be of general interest. I haven't tried it myself yet, mainly because I haven't yet reinstalled X11 after the 10.2 upgrade.]

Its a nice start, though I would very much appreciate a Cocoa version. I realise that this would be a lot more work, but X-Windows is not for the novice.
