Set up an LPR printer for terminal printing in 10.2 UNIX
For anyone who fussed with getting command-line "lpr" or "lp" to work in 10.1, the addition of CUPS in 10.2 makes this a snap.

Simple add your postscript printer from the CUPS web-administration tool ( http://127.0.0.1:631/ ) and be sure to choose "LPD/LPR Host or Printer" when selecting the device. You will then be able to print to the device from the terminal, XDarwin (and X apps, such as NEdit) by simply entering lpr -P name-of-printer; no further setup is necessary. The printer will also be entered into your print center list of devices, but identified by whatever you entered as the "Description" for it, not the "name" for it.

IT ROCKS!! Once I got it working with my printer I can use it to read MS docs.
