Two caveats:
- You'll need to compile the utility yourself, and might need a small patch to get it going (I can supply the patch if you can't figure it out).
- The utility works from Terminal only.

For those of you who are in possession of a Linksys WAP11 basestation ... the WAP Utilites for Unix is a set of command line utilities for Linux to configure this box, and it works on OSX as well.

Patchypatchy
Yeah, I'd love to have the patch. Is it small enough to post here? I'm not much of a programmer, I'm afraid.
Patchypatchy
The patch isn't big, but I cannot post it here because of the MacOSXHints CMS not handling C code too wel :(
Patchypatchy
On another note: I can also send binaries around to people who trust me enough. However, I'm not sure if simply supplying the binary will work, that would be a trial and error procedure with someone willing enough :)

Patchypatchy

I have my wap11 plugged into one of the ports on my dsl/cable router.
Configure a Linksys WAP11 from the Terminal
I downloaded 1.5 and 1.5.1. To get them to compile, I had to add a missing libintl.a to the ./intl directory (and I also added libintl.h just because I could. :)) These came from the sed-4.0.7 download which I presumably got from the FSF.org server. (sed is now up to 4.1.4 BTW.) |
