Forward email to a mobile phone Apps
So I just read the Knowledge Base article about iCal and the Address Book and wondered if one could do the same type of thing in different programs. Sure enough you can! I went to the Mail application in 10.2 and set a new rule for my incoming mail. The rule should read like this:

If ANY of the following conditions are met: EVERY MESSAGE CONTAINS [your email address], perform the following actions: FORWARD MESSAGE to [your mobile email address] and hit OK. Now whenever you recieve an email in your inbox, you will get the message on your phone. You can tweak the EVERY MESSAGE to be anything you want so you can be more specific if you would like.

Is there an applescript to process and condense email forwarded as an sms message
to a mobile phone?

Regards,

Eugene Rooke

Message Digest -> SMS essential

IMO the Email being forwarded must be condensed for this to be practical otherwise Cell phone company will block the voluminous text. I agree with what Eugene Rooke says related to SMS.

Maybe just send the Subject: line and 1st line og message body.

BTW good work on experimenting with this wrt Mail.app.

How to do this AUTOMATICALLY?
Authored by: joedw1 on Sep 28, '02 04:41:44AM

Is there a way that I can have Mail send my iCal notification automatically the first time Mail is asked to send an email? I am not at my computer when I need these notifications and it proves to be a hassle to remember to authorize mail to send mail automatically everyday. Tips? Hacks?

Was this a hint?

Was this supposed to be a hint? I started forwarding mail to my cell phone in 1995. Maybe I should add a hint about using e-mail as an easy and cheap way to stay in touch with people abroad..?
