Fix Word unexpected quits in 10.2

I've had a problem with unexpected quits when using Word from MS Office v.X (with service update 1) on both my laptop and desktop since upgrading to 10.2. The problem arises when opening or editing existing Word documents created under 10.1.5 or earlier. It seems that the docs themselves break after opening for the first time in 10.2. Fortunately, the fix is an easy one:
- Open the offending document (it took me several tries to get it on screen without crashing).
- From the tool bar, click the "ΒΆ" button to reveal all paragraph locations.
- Select all text EXCEPT the FINAL paragraph symbol (turns out Word uses this last symbol to carry the bulk of the formatting info for the document).
- Paste all the text into a newly created blank document.
- Do a File -> Save As.
- Trash the old, damaged document.
That's it - the newly created document should now behave perfectly.
