Adaptec 2903 SCSI card works in 10.2 System
For those cheap bastiches like me out there, you may be heartened to know that the Adaptec 2903 board that shipped out as a Windows-only SCSI adapter with many scanners works just dandy under 10.2. I already had the newest Adaptec drivers for the 2906 loaded, and with them installed, VueScan found my lovely Coolscan III and everything's groovy.

What about sleep?
Authored by: wscody on Sep 13, '02 09:16:51PM

I've got an Orange Micro 906F SCSI card, and all works well with my SCSI peripherals unless I awake from sleep - OS X 10.2 hangs.

After successfully using your SCSI peripherals with the Adaptec card, can you sleep, then WAKE successfully?

Also, does the system DEEP SLEEP?

Thanks - Bill

10.2, AGFA & adaptec 2930
Authored by: oem on Sep 14, '02 11:16:50AM

I have an Adaptec 2930 SCSI card :

In 10.2 this card is working.
BUT, there's a but :

fotolook 3.6 with an AGFA Duoscan HID does not see anymore the scanner :(
Vuescan with the same scanner and card does work

I also tested the scan with an INITIO MILES SCSI card, but no success here.

As I much prefer fotolook to scan than Vuescan… I'm a little disappointed here.
I hope AGFA will react. but as they've stopped scanner manufacturing, I'll may have to keep a 10.1 Mac to scan in os X until an update of fotolook comes to us, as I won't go back to Os9.
