In the new Find option in Jaguar, choose your iPod under specific places. You can then search for and copy MP3s without the use of third-party software or the Terminal.

Wow! It really did work!
After all of the hooplah surrounding Apple's efforts to keep user's from accessing music on their iPod, I'm surprised this one slipped through. Is it a feature or a security hole?
Oh Happy Day!
This makes me incredibly happy. Before I reformatted for OS X 10.2 (I didn't have to but just did) I backed up everything to my iPod but already had all my MP3's on there via iTunes. After I formatted I knew I had done wrong. Now I can easily get my MP3's back to my computer where they once resided!

Satan Baby Fixes The Problem
Here's the solution to the problem I just anonymously posted over at www.iPodding.com. I did forget to include the URL to the HexEditor though. It can be found at http://www.ex-cinder.com/hexeditor.html. Send Raphael some thanks.
Satan Baby Fixes The Problem
Tried this hack, and it works great ! Can now do a search on invisible items on the ipod and got all my mp3 appearing in the results window. After that just copy the one u need on the desktop. The only drawback is that the mp3's are not organised in albums, artist or whatever...
