Zoom in on your display to show detail

The Universal Access system preference pane, which gives Macintosh users tools to be able to interact with the computer in different ways, has a great new feature: You can zoom into your monitor using OpenGL and Aqua.

After you enable zoom, anytime you need to zoom into something you can do so by just hitting command-option and plus; command-option and minus zooms back out. The screen remains fully functional while zoomed in, and the amount of zoom available is truly amazing -- you can make a dot on the mouse cursor completely fill the screen if you wish! Perfect for seeing more detail in images, or (in my case) zooming in on some complex Excel function that Excel refuses to increase when I change the zoom in Excel (it ignores the formula bar).

The Universal Access features in Jaguar are greatly improved over 10.1, and offers other features that many users will find useful -- switch to grayscale, invert the monitor, and various keyboard and mouse settings. Check it out!
