why is MacOS X hints posting so many software ads?
It seems that lately there have been a lot of "endorsements" for software products. Listing new software is what version tracker is for. Electric Sheep is a fine screen saver and all but it has been available for months. What's the "hint"?

I, for one, appreciate the application hints to new and interesting software. VersionTracker is blasting away with all software updates while OSX Hints gives me selected 'reviews.' Don't stop!

It might not be news to you. But I was not aware of it before reading an article about it in the current issue of Linux Magazine. And no one had hinted about it before on this site so I thought it might be of interest for more people than me. I kinda like the idea that all these puters dream together in their sleep and the result is so beautiful to look at. |
