Add native language file dialogs to any app

I use a lot of applications that don't provide a German user interface (many English and some Japanese apps). I found out that it is very simple to tell these programs to show the standard dialogues like 'open file/folder' or 'save' in your native language. Control-click on the application icon and look to see if there is a menu entry 'Show package contents'. Now open the folder 'Contents' and then the folder 'Resources'. In this folder you can see a folder called 'English.lproj'. Duplicate this folder and rename it to your language, for example 'German.lproj' or 'French.lproj'. That's it!

Sometimes in these folders there is a file called 'Localizable Strings'. You can edit this file to get even more native dialogues.

[Editor's note: I'm nearly 100% certain this was published here previously, but I cannot find it, so I'm publishing it again -- it's a useful tip for non-English language OS X users.]
