I hacked the Canon S400 driver to use it with a BJC-3000. You can find it here.

other printers?
I own a BJC-6200 that I can't use on my mac. Do anybody know if I could hack a driver in the same way from an existing one (and which one)?
Worked a treat for me.
Nice one Vincent!! This hack worked a treat for my BJC3000 (Imac DVD 400, Pismo 500). Now if only I could share it via network I'd truly be satisfied.
Updated for Jaguar
The instructions provided on the referenced site work under OS X 10.1.x, but fail on Jaguar (10.2). The trick to regaining functionality, though, is simple: in the Printers folder, where you put the S400PM.plugin hacked folder, duplicate it and rename it BJC3000PM.plugin. Then, open Print Center and look at the USB printers; add your printer and voila! |
