Stop top with a single keystroke UNIX
Instead of typing "control+c" to stop the 'top' display in the terminal, you can press the "q" key.

Actually, you can discover this by typing "man top". It's there in the last paragraph, just above "SAMPLE USAGE."

i dont think this is a good reason for this hint not to be posted here. i mean lots of things are listed in manuals, but you dont always think to read the manual, or you are too lazy. i didnt know about top's quit command until about 2 months ago, before that, i thought control-c was the only way to do it.

not to mention that this hint reminds people that there might be cool info in the man pages for top, so maybe now they will read the man page.

something to think about.
