Synchronise Palm Desktop with other address books Apps
I have not found any decent conduits for the Address Book yet. So I've written a perl script that can convert Palm Desktop exported addresses to be readable by Apple's Address Book or Outlook Express (in OS 9). Unfortunately, it's still a manual procedure, but it works very well.

You can find the complete script over at my website.

/sbin is not the right place

The author suggests to install
the script in /sbin which is absolutely
not the right location for perl-scripts
like this.
An appropriate place could be /usr/local/bin.

That is a very good point. Document has been updated to say /usr/local/bin. Thanks!

Newer version

There is a newer version of the Contact Converter tool. It now has an AppleScript front end and is distributed as a dmg file, so there is no need to use the terminal at all. Functionality remains the same. The download is available at www.htvoon.freeserve.co.uk.
