Tool to easily mount SMB shares Network
The SMB Browse utility by Gordon Shukwit has helped me quite a bit. There is no more need to type mount_smbfs into the terminal.

You can get this small utility here.

SmbBrowse rules

This saves me from many a tedious mount_smbfs command for accessing my Windows 98 shared directory. Then I wrote a little script, put this into a file called mountsmb.sh

#!/bin/sh
mount_smbfs -N -d 744 -u lucy -g staff -I 192.168.0.1 //" "@SAFFRON/OUR_DOCS /Volumes/SAFFRON-OUR_DOCS/

then
chmod +x mountsmb.sh

then run as root:
./mountsmb.sh

it complains about unable to set locale but works fine. From the find use GO Command~ then /Volumes/SAFFRON-OUR_DOCS/ (or whatever folder name you used)

Does It Work in Workgroup Mode

Does the product work in Workgroup mode? What I'm trying to do is very simple - mount a shared directory from my Win2k laptop on my G4 Cube. I've installed SMBBrowse and it can see the share on my laptop but I can't seem to logon to or mount it.
