Rearrange your menubar icons [10.1] Desktop
In OS X 10.1, there are a number of menubar widgets, including some or all of a clock, Airport indicator, sound control, monitor control, and battery life indicator. If you hold down the command key and drag on any of these widgets, you can place them in any order you wish on the right-hand side of the menubar.

For example, you may wish to put the monitor or sound widget in the corner, in order to make it easier to hit with the mouse on the fly.

New Widgets??
Authored by: WeatherNinja on Oct 02, '01 12:10:30AM

Man, I am simply bowled over by the awesomeness of 10.1, but I have but one request/question:

Is there any possible way (I am completely ignorant about any of this...) that new widgets for the menu bar will come along, mainly, a 'new mail' flashing icon?? That would, I think, complete 10.1 for me 8->. Anything anyone knows would be great!

P.S. I just noticed perhaps the coolest thing so for in 10.1; hopefully this isn't new... As I was typing this, I just saw my AOL icon jumping up from the hidden dock (letting me know I had an IM), like a fish or something out of water, super high... Is this new? If not, WOW, yet another thing that makes Apple just DOMINATE. WOW.
