Option-delete in Cocoa to erase previous word System
Dunno if this has been mentioned already but I just noticed that in Cocoa apps, hitting option+delete erases the word located to the left of the cursor.

Many Emacs Key Bindings Work

In Cocoa apps many emacs key bindings work automatically. ctrl-k, ctrl-d, etc work very well and can help with quick text editing.

Apple+Delete as well

The Apple+Delete key will do the same...on the whole previous line!
