Put applications into Finder toolbars Desktop
You probably know you can customize the toolbar by selecting View...Customize Toolbar..., but did you also know you can also drag applications directly onto it? I added the Terminal.app to my toolbar. Very handy.

Folders too!

this is a brilliant feature, i can't figure out why it SJ didn't hype it. why waste a space on the dock with stuffit expander or a downloads folder if you only use it with the finder? anything used for drag & drop, put it in the toolbar. anthing you need system wide, put in the dock. i especially like that i can move folders, since the preset buttons don't allow you to move the folders or reassign the paths. screw it, just make up a new folder, put it wherever you want, paste an icon on it, and drag it to the toolbar. simplicity itself.
