What host types for configure? UNIX
I'm trying to get jed running so I have to install slang first. I finally got onto ADC and get the dev kit. The configure script dies at host type. What is host type? darwin? ppc? rhapsody? How can I get a list of acceptable host types?

Bordering on a dumb question I know, just can't find answer for this.

GNU ./configure

If jed uses the GNU style ./configure script, then you need to use the config.sub and config.guess that reside in /usr/libexec/ - just copy these into the jed folder and try again.

ie.
cp /usr/libexec/config.* /Users/miggins/jed-1.1/
cd /Users/miggins/jed-1.1/
./configure

and it should recognise Darwin-1.2 as the host. These config.sub and config.guess files come from the gnu.org site - new packages should come with the updated versions that include Darwin, but sometimes they don't. ;)
